This
worship song is based on Psalm 40. It is a celebration of God's rescue and
renewal. God does more than merely lift us out of the mire.
He puts a song in our mouths and sets us before the assembly to sing of
his love. Psalm 40 has
always been one of my favorite psalms, in large part because I identify
with what the psalm is all about. God has delivered me and
continually puts new songs in my mouth. I praise him for his
goodness and grace!
