This song was written for the 100th
anniversary celebration of the congregation I serve, St. John's Lutheran
Church, in Napa, CA. It is based on Psalm 145 which was chosen as
the theme Scripture for the school year for St. John's Lutheran School,
along with its theme, "Celebrate."
This song celebrates the goodness of God, his compassion and grace, and
the wonders that He has done, most notably the cross and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. Following the psalm, this song ties the celebration
into sharing the good news of what God has done with the nations.
Praise and Thanksgiving is linked to Witness and Mission.
