Peter writes in 1 Peter 4:10 that we are to use the gifts we have received to serve one another. God’s gifts to us are not just for ourselves.  Rather, He calls us to loving service of those around us.  In this we are following the model of Christ, who “did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life a a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28).”
