As the people of God, we can take comfort and encouragement from the fact that we have been chosen by God.   We are chosen by God to be part of His family, His kingdom, His people.  But we are chosen not just to receive grace.  We are chosen also to be the representatives of Christ in the world, sharing His grace with others.  This song is based on 1 Peter 2:8-9, where Peter ties our identity to the task of declaring God’s praises.
